Company History

The Fireplace Shoppe was started in 1976 by Joseph Bosze Sr. In the late 1970's, the energy crisis hit the U.S., creating very high energy bills for homeowners. Joe saw a need to provide customers with wood stoves and inserts to combat those high heating bills. As the years went by, the fireplace industry grew, as did Joe'sbusiness. Joe grew the business by selling zero clearance fireplaces, gas logs, gas direct vent fireplaces, fireplace accessories and much more. Today, the fireplace industry has thousands of different products available, and the Fireplace Shoppe, now called Northfield Fireplace & Grill, has grown with the times. We have added on to our showroom numerous times and we are constantly updating our displays with new and innovative products. Today, Joe Sr. has brought his two sons, Joe Jr. and Jason, into the family business to carry it on to the next generation.

We provide full service installation on all of the products we sell. We pride ourselves on providing professional installation and being able to install all aspects of a job from start to finish. Most companies in our industry will only install portions of what it takes to install a fireplace. The Fireplace Shoppe will handleevery detail from start to finish when installing theperfect fireplace in your home.
